I've been using this for my daily soup lunches and the triple-layer glass really does hold up—dropped it on the tile floor last week and not a single chip. It's surprisingly light for how much it holds, which makes it easy to eat out of even when it's full.
The deep sides are a game changer for chili and stew nights—nothing sloshes over the edge anymore. It's surprisingly light to hold with one hand, and the glass feels sturdy enough to survive my clumsy dishwashing habit.
Finally a bowl that actually holds a full serving of chili without sloshing over the edges — the deep sides make a real difference. It's featherlight when I pick it up, yet the glass feels solid enough that I'm not scared of it cracking in the dishwasher.
